Company and Strategy Description:
Evolutionary Tree specializes in innovation-focused, concentrated-growth investing. The investment philosophy is based on the belief that wealth creation is driven by profound innovation that powers the evolution of technology, business models, industries, and the economy. The objective is to identify the most important innovations, understand how these cause secular growth and evolutionary shifts, and ultimately, own the leading innovators.

Evolutionary Tree’s Humboldt Global Innovators strategy, launched in 2018, is a conviction-weighted, best-ideas global portfolio seeking to own the leaders within attractive innovation clusters around the world—special geographic locations where knowledge, talent and capital are abundant. There is also selective focus on countries with strong governance, while avoiding autocracies. The strategy adds value by owning the “crown jewel” leaders that launch a series of innovations that sustain growth and take share from competitors over time, benefiting from stacked S-curves, deep innovation pipelines, and layers of competitive advantage. In an innovation-driven economy, leaning into these types of businesses is critical for navigating change and harnessing important innovations.
